Andrew is a specialist anaesthetist with an interest in cancer surgery, bariatric surgery and gynaecological surgery for the treatment of endometriosis.
Following completion of anaesthesia training in Victoria and South Australia, Andrew undertook clinical fellowships at Monash Medical Centre, and The Northern Hospital with a focus on major thoracic surgery and hepatobiliary cancer surgery. Additionally he undertook a further year long fellowship in Cancer Anaesthesia at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre where he gained extensive experience in anaesthesia techniques for robotic surgery and the perioperative care of complex patients having cancer surgery. Andrew is currently employed as a specialist anaesthetist at The Northern Hospital, where he takes a keen interest in the teaching and development of trainee anaesthetists.
Andrew participates in continuing professional development, including attending international conferences, ensuring he keeps up with the latest evidence-based anaesthesia techniques and analgesic practices.
Outside of anaesthesia, Andrew has a young family and enjoys spending time in the outdoors with his children, cooking over fire, and playing music.
Andrew’s number one priority is to provide you a calm and safe anaesthetic experience, specific to each patient’s needs in order to assist you in achieving a quick and comfortable recovery from your surgery.
Andrew is an independent anaesthetist that provides his services from the Cancer Specialists premises.
