Free social events for Men’s Health Week in Melbourne
A great opportunity to share the two big leverages for men’s health that I’ve learnt through my education expert webinars series, plus three easy ways for you to get the benefits of both next week.
The first was exercise, the second is a chat.
Just a chat? Yep!
During my webinars, there’s a chatbox for questions and comments. What’s been pleasantly surprising is men telling me afterwards how much they enjoyed having the chatbox as a place to share a laugh and what’s working for them with other men in the same situation.
However, the world isn’t exactly designed with a friendly chatbox on every street corner. So here’s three ideas to flex your social muscles (and at the very least, enjoy a free feed!).
NEW MATES OVER A MEAL
Brian Mier pops up a few times in Men’s Health activities section. He is putting a few interesting sounding initiatives such as ‘OM:NI is ‘Older Men: New Ideas’ – a men’s social discussion group and a walking group called ‘Meandering Mates’.

Mens health info day – doing a lot of talks plus free sausage sizzle
And one with an education element I’m particularly passionate about. A seminar on Respectful Relationships: how to maintain great relationships with your partner, your family and friends. Organised by Mountain Men Inc., a community group that supports men in Melbourne’s Dandenong Ranges (and of course, includes Sausage Sizzle and refreshments).
