At the European Association of Urology (EAU) Annual Meeting in Copenhagen this week, a very important paper was presented by my colleagues at University College London, and was simultaneously published in the New England of Journal, the world’s top medical journal. This study supports what we have already been offering to patients with a suspicion of prostate cancer at Cancer Specialists and Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, and goes a few steps further also. Good news all round, except we have still not secured reimbursement for MRI in Australia. Soon I hope.
I had the privilege of formally discussing this in the plenary session in Copenhagen and I am including a link to my blog below (posted at the British Journal of Urology website) in case you are interested in reading more.
